Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd presents KHATTA MEETHA. Produced by Akshay Kumar's Hari Om Productions, the film is directed by master filmmaker Priyadarshan. It is said that KHATTA MEETHA is a remake of 1989 hit Malayalam film, VELLANAKALUDE NADU, which again was directed by Priyadarshan.

The satirical comedy KHATTA MEETHA stars Akshay Kumar, Trisha Krishnan (south sensation who makes her Bollywood debut), Makrand Deshpande, Rajpal Yadav, Johny Lever, Neeraj Vora, Milind Gunaji, Asrani, Atul Parchure, Aruna Irani, Urvashi Sharma, Paritosh Sand.

The music of the film is composed by Pritam. The film hits the screens on July 23, 2010.

Synopsis:

Struggling road construction contractor, Sachin Tichkule (Akshay Kumar) is doomed to dream big.

There is no change in hell that his dreams will ever come true, simply because he has no money to bribe!

To make matters worse, the new municipal commissioner turns out to be his ex-girlfriend (Trisha) who now hates him.

Even as you laugh as Sachin bumbles his way from one disaster to another, the film revels in a light hearted way, the extent of corruption and bribery rampant in the system, and the ingenious means you have to adopt if you want to survive, enjoy the Bumpy ride!
