Nana Patekar as Subramanium - Subramanium dedicated his life tending to his ailing mother till her end. At 60, he is forced into retirement. Now what? The journey takes Subramanium from being a disgruntled, cynical and acrid man who keeps people away from him, to someone who embraces that life-enriching feeling called love.
Dimple Kapadia as Delshad Nanji - The ever-smiling Delshad was roughly the same age as Subramanium but had manner. Delshad had spent a lifetime struggling yet smiling. Through the film we see Delshad battle demons of her past and we see how a woman of the world, becomes a woman all over again at the age of 58
Suneil Shetty as Amit Nagpal - Amit was a successful corporate climber at 40, has stunned many by his swift ascent but inside him, he felt a void. In his quest to make everything that was worldly possible he had lost what he was fighting the way for his family, Amit and Anita were in the throes of a mid-life crisis. 'Excitement and breathlessness of being in love' was now a distant memory.
Vidya Malavade as Anita Nagpal - Anita is a young professor married to Amit. Her centre of attraction is her son Ankur. Outwardly she feels happy but she too feels the void inside her. Her unassuming love for Amit often tends to be taken for granted. It takes a while for the giver of this love to become assertive and the recipient to acknowledge that love. That is the journey of Anita. A woman who was vocal enough to express her open stance on society was a very victim of the problems that globally patch a relationship.
Rehaan Khan as Bikramjeet Singh - Bikramjeet a young boy arrives in Mumbai from up North to experience civilian life before joining the Indian Army. He falls in love with Shalini, an ambitious Mumbai girl. Through the film the boy who comes to Mumbai becomes the man he was to be and finds his true calling in life.
Anjana Sukhani as Shalini Kasbekar - Shalini is a young Maharashtrian Mumbai girl. She tries to portray her false self to impress her peers. This shadows her immaturity. Her reason for being in the story is to see how love brings about the journey from immaturity to maturity.
