Yash Raj Films presents LADIES V/S RICKY BAHL, an upcoming Bollywood romantic comedy, set to release on December 9, 2011.
Directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra the movie stars BAND BAAJA BAARAAT pair Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma in lead roles with Aditi Sharma and Dipannita Sharma. It also marks the debut of Priyanka Chopra's cousin, Parineeti Chopra.
The music of the film is composed by Salim-Sulaiman and Amitabh Bhattacharya has penned its lyrics.
Synopsis:
Dimple Chaddha (Parineeti Chopra), a brash 19 year old Delhi college girl falls in love with Sinny Singh, a fitness trainer.
Raina Parulekar (Dipannita Sharma), a 28 year old independent and successful corporate woman in Mumbai does business with an art dealer Deven Shah.
Saira Rashid (Aditi Sharma), a 24 year old sweet hard, working widow in Lucknow makes a new friend, the shy Iqbal Khan.
Three very different girls who each get taken for a lot of money by each of these three men.
The problem is that it is actually just one man - Ricky Bahl (Ranveer Singh), a suave and charming con-man who revels in the game and is only after the money.
A chance encounter brings these three women together who vow to take down Ricky Bahl and get their money back. The next step is the actual plan. Enter Ishika Desai (Anushka Sharma), a young and ambitious girl whose street smart ways will one day, very soon, get her to the top. The furious trio, one professional con-man and a girl who loves adventure. The game is set in Goa. The rules will be made as they go long.

Character Sketches:
Ranveer Singh as Ricky Bahl: The king of deception. he could be anyone from anywhere, if he chooses to be. You lay down the red carpet for him while he takes away everything you've got. Charming, handsome, smooth - the adjectives could go on... and so will his cons, until he comes up vs his match.
Anushka Sharma as Ishika Desai: The prettiest flower in any bouquet. Sweet, intelligent and suave. Ishika, the ultimate sales girl, can sell a man in his own soul. Her counter has the cash registers ticking. A sucker for exploring new horizons and her can-do spirit makes her take up the challenge for the most difficult sales pitch of her life.
Parineeti Chopra as Dimple Chaddha: The big girl with little imagination from Delhi. She steps out of her house to lose weight but loses her heart and her father's hefty bank balance. The bold, the colourful, the eye popping Dimple makes an arduous journey in search of her lost fortune, but finds adventure,.friends and coming of age.
Dipannita Sharma as Raina Parulekar: The Mumbai Corporate Diva. The intelligent, hard working, successful women who believes that gender is of no consequence in male bastions anymore. In desperation to impress her boss, she places her money and her trust on mistaken identity. Desperate for retribution, she strategizes a strange and omnious plan.
Aditi Sharma as Saira Rashid: A conventional Indian beauty. Widowed at young age, she is the heart and soul of her home, and also manages her family' cloth business in old Lucknow. Her always helpful and charitable nature puts her traditional business in grave peril this time. Humilated and ashamed, she steps outside the boundries of her home, looking for justice and reprisal.
