The Abhishek Bachchan-Sonam Kapoor starrer upcoming film DELHI 6 is all set to hit the screens on 20th February

Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra (of AKS and RANG DE BASANTI fame) the movie is reportedly based on Mehra's growing up years in Chandni Chowk area of Old Delhi. Right from its making days the film was in constant news for its casting and frequent postponement. Also several changes were made in the script.

This would be Sonam Kapoor's, daughter of veteran actor Anil Kapoor, 2nd film after SAAWARIYA.

Apart from Abhishek and Sonam as the lead characters this UTV production produced jointly by Ronnie Screwvala & Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has stellar starcast including Kunal Kapoor, Om Puri, Rishi Kapoor, Waheeda Rahman, Atul Kulkarni, Divya Dutta, Shefali Shah, Deepak Dobriyal, Supriya Pathak, Pawan Malhotra, Tanvi Azmi, Prem Chopra and many others respectively. Reportedly, Amitabh Bachchan too will be seen in a special appearance playing the role of his real life son, Abhishek's grand father in the film.

A.R. Rahman is the music director of this film and Prasoon Joshi is the lyricist.

Synopsis:

Roshan travels from USA to India with his ailing grandmother. Little does he know that this quick trip will turn into the longest journey of his life... a journey within!

The story is told against the backdrop of the ancient walled city of Delhi who is a character in herself.

A city that represents the chaos of Indian people, their religion and their beliefs.

The pin code of this old city is 110006. With pride and love they call it DELHI - 6.
