After the movies like Virasaat, Hera Pheri, Yeh Tera Ghar Yeh Mera Ghar Priyadarshan is back to create
Hungama in the theatres among the audience with his new movie called Hungama. Priyadarshan has
directed flicks in languages like Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam. However, he is very confident of this new movie. The story of
Hungama starring Aftab Shivdasani, Akshay Khanna, Rimi Sen, Paresh Rawal is very confusing with
number of couples in it. Nobody knows that who loves other. It is the story of deception, lies and pretence. The music by
Nadeem Shravan has already crossed the records. The dialogue by Neeraj Vora are much more
appealing. Priyadarshan directs the movie as well as writes the script. The editing has done by Gopalkrishnan
and background score by S. P. Venkitesh adds a sense of comedy to the movie.
The Hungama start like this,
Anjali (Rimi Sen) a young lass from village, lands up in Mumbai city in search of a job. She has to pay her
loan, which she took from the landlord. The landlord has put a proposal against her; either she repays the loan or marries
his dwarf and funny son. Refusing to the proposal, she comes to Mumbai to earn money. The only problem is that she
doesn't have a shelter in this small city. She gets the job, but with one misunderstanding that she is the daughter of a rich
business tycoon called Radheysham Tiwari (Paresh Rawal).
Jeetu (Akshay Khanna) wants to make 'Big' in life. He also wants a small investment for his business,
which can be turned into a big profit. However, his father is not confident of his son's capabilities and refuses to invest in
his business. As a result, he robs his own father. He also manages to get the loan from bank. He opens a huge gallery
of electronic gadgets. Now, he just needs a rich girl to marry.
Nandu (Aftab Shivdasani) son of a rich family. He has only one dream in his life and that is to become a
famous singer. But his parents are dead against his profession. So he also lands up in Mumbai, running away from home.
He gets a job in the hotel as a singer. They also give him the shelter and food. But he soon loses his job. Moreover, the
problem here also is of shelter.
Anjali and Nandu are forced to stay in a house at a throw away price. They pretend that they are married.
They both are the human version of Tom and Jerry, always fighting. Anil (Sanjay Narvekar), a bank
employee wants to marry the only daughter of rich "Raddiwala" Tejabhai alias Kachra Seth (Shakti
Kapoor). However, to impress the girl, he pretends to be the son of the rich businessmen Radheysham Tiwari.
MRS. Tiwari (Shoma Anand) is happily married to her husband, Radheysham. But her encounter with
Kachraseth brings to her attention that her husband has more sons and daughter than she thought. MR. Tiwari does not
believe that his wife loves a young boy called "Jeetu from Videocon". He has the definite proof and because of which
their marriage life is hanging on the edge of the mountain. Jeetu on the one side believes that Anjali loves him. Therefore,
he however manages with his Piercing Father. Dulari (Upasna Singh), wife of chawl owner
Popat seth (Tiku Talsania), believes that Nandu loves her. But, to start a new life, they have to elope…
Raja (Rajpal Yadav) believes that he has to marry Anjali…. But the underworld don, Chota Chetan
has made his life miserable. Kachra Seth believes that his daughter has married to the son of Radheysham Tiwari but t
find his daughter he has to kidnap everyone at the Tiwari Residence. There is a great confusion between the stars in the
movie, which gets sorted out in the climax.
