Debut director Soham is busier than ever giving last-minute touches to his dream debut. People close to Soham describe the young director as a very hard-working person, one who is eternally brimming with ideas and eager to implement them.
"I couldn't have asked for more than making a directorial debut with a Karan Johar and Shah Rukh production. It is one of the best experiences any director can have," says Soham, the debut-making director of KAAL. The song-less thriller is the first of its kind from the banner of Dharma productions, known for its larger-than-life family dramas with rich production values. It was while he was assisting Ram Gopal Varma in the making of BHOOT, that he also started working on the script of KAAL.
National Geographic appoints ace tiger expert Krish Thapar (John Abraham) & his wife Riya (Esha Deol) to find out the reason behind the mysterious deaths caused by Man Eating Tigers in the past two months. Dev (Vivek Oberoi) Ishika (Lara Dutta) with his group of friends set out for an adventure trip for the weekend... Destiny diverts them from going to the farmhouse they had planned to & they are led towards one of India's biggest jungle for an unexpected ride. The two groups bond together but the same night the fear that revolved around the jungle comes alive. They realize that the jungle is a city of animals, which deals in the business of prey. Now starts a journey with fear, panic & trauma as death is felt in the air. The gang comes across Kali Pratap Singh (Ajay Devgan) who takes the challenge of helping them escape out of the jungle, which has never been so alive...
