Horror films are making their way in the film industry. The bug seems to have bitten everyone. Everyone is directing, producing or acting in such films. Entrepreneur cum producer, Ekta Kapoor is producing her next film titled 'Krishna cottage'. The alphabet K being her lucky talisman, her latest film, 'Krishna cottage' looks more promising than her earlier production 'Kucch To Hai'. Although 'Kuch To Hai' starring her brother Tusshar Kapoor failed to make an impact at the box office, Ekta Kapoor is not deterred by its failure. In an excerpt from an interview Ekta claims "I especially love to watch spooky films - the kind that when you open the window, you suddenly find a man staring at you. Or when you are driving, you suddenly see a face in the rear-view mirror. Films about our everyday fears." This explains why her film 'Krishna Cottage', is an unusual love story where love is accompanied by terror, fear, suspicion and obsession. The story revolves around Manav (Sohail Khan), Disha (Isha Koppikar), and Shanti(Natasha). But the twist is that we are kept guessing as to who gets whom in the film. Who becomes the sacrificial lamb in the film?
If the title is anything to go by, then the film does suggest that 'Krishna Cottage' is probably the haunted house where the couple live, or that there is a mysterious connection to this 'Krishna Cottage'. Isha Koppikar, Sohail Khan and Natasha have been seen earlier in films under the genre of horror. Sohail Khan was earlier seen in Ram Gopal Verma's 'Darna Mana Hai'. Natasha was seen in Ekta Kapoor's earlier film 'Kucch To Hai', and Isha Koppikar was seen in'88 Antop Hill'. Also starring Rati Agnihotri, Divya Palat, Vrajesh Hirjee and Raj Zutshi, the film has been directed by debutante director Santram Verma. Anu Malik has composed the music for the film. Slated for a February 27 release, this film will sure keep the crowd guessing. In an excerpt from an interview Sohail confesses" Ekta is a brilliant producer. She has been an absolute professional. Working with her has been a satisfying experience". We hope the film is equally brilliant!
