Comedy 'specialist' David Dhawan, fresh from the success of MAINE PYAR KYUN KIYA, is boosting up his latest flick titled SHAADI NO.1. The film is again a David Dhawan ishtyle whacky comedy with loads of fun 'n' frolic. When it comes to David's movies, forget the script, the technical razzmatazz or the filmi lavishness and just get ready for some total timepass! This is the stuff, which made David Dhawan one of the most successful directors of Bollywood. The man behind the 'NO.1' paradigm is back with the same funda again. SHAADI NO1 stars Fardeen Khan, Zayed Kan, Sharman Joshi, Aayesha Takia, VJ Sophie Chaudhary, Ria Sen, Esha Deol and Soha Ali Khan with Sanjay Dutt in a pivotal role. The film is just another 'David Dhawan film' meant for full-to-dhamaal entertainment.
Raj (Fardeen Khan) is a guy who loves to paint the town red, maroon and crimson too while his ladylove Bhavna (Aayesha Takia) is a girl who prefers the colour of spirituality. Raj wants all the fun n frolic in the bedroom, while Bhavna prefers the pooja path in the prayer room.
Aryan (Sharman Joshi) is a god's gift to women wanting love while his girl Sonia (Soha Ali Khan) is a lifeline to women wanting divorce. Aryan will appeal to woo her in bed.
Veer (Zayed Khan) and Diya (Esha Deol) is another couple where Veer moves to a flirt beat, while Diya's heart beats for acting. He wants to rock 'n' roll in bed while the only role she'll consider is the one in films.
And the most important of all the 'Kabab Mein Haddi' Lucky Bhaiyya aka Lukhwinder Singh (Sanjay Dutt). He will add Namak Mirchi to the perfect kichadi cooked by the guys and make their wife suspicious and their lives suicidal.
SHAADI NO 1 is the story of Raj, Aryan and Veer who are trying to seek love outside as they feel their successful but ever nagging spouses are too dull for the job. Hence, the guys jiggle around with three bombshells Madhuri (Riya Sen), Dimple (Sophie Chaudhary) and Rekha (Arti Chabaria). It is then that Lucky Singh who is a distant cousin of the wives enter and help the guys in their exploits at every step and finally teaching the boys a lesson of being honest towards their spouses.
The plot thus serves to be an ideal launch pad for the David Dhawan style comic blitzkrieg. The music has been done by Anu Malik. The film has been produced by the astute Vashu Bhagnani who knows the give and take of the showbizz. Vashu Bhagnani is known for his unusual music launches. First it was OUT OF CONTROL, which was launched in a plane. Then it was VAADA, which had its music release on a cruise! This time Vashu will complete his trilogy. This time it was a train for the music launch of SHAADI NO 1.The event took place on a train to Shirdi on September 9. What next Mr. Bhagnani? A rocket perhaps!
