You first saw Neha Dhupia in Harry Baweja's 'Qayamat - City Under Threat'. Remember, her first onscreen presence in the promos of Qayamat; a bikini clad hot Neha! After which she created news by playing a prostitute in Julie, hotter!! Lately Sheesha aroused a lot of curiosity for its hot promos featuring Neha Dhupia in some very bold scenes. With a majority of the big star-studded films taking a backlash at the box-office, a few ingenuous producers are now banking on medium budget suspense thrillers with a lot of sex appeal thrown in for the frontbenchers.
Sheesha is a tale of love. It is a story of passion, desire, obsession and possessiveness.
Sheesha reflects the story of Sia (Neha Dhupia) and his soul mate Raj (Sonu Sood). Raj is a modern day hunk and technical director (media) of Channel 7, the most popular satellite channel operating in Thailand. Sia is a budding fashion designer whose designer outfit 'Shades' is on the threshold of going international. Destiny brings Sia to Raj. A chance meeting leads Sia and Raj into the throes of togetherness. Love blossoms and at the same time Raj helps Sia climb the ladder of new professional heights. Through his good offers, Sia's brand gains recognition internationally.
All seems well from the outside but oblivious to Sia and Raj there is a threat lurking which is raring to tear their relationship apart. Dramatic events build up one after another to test their relationship. Lies are camouflaged as truth. Sheesha is a result of what happens when truth surfaces. Everything seems dubious. Relationship, values, culture and everything that our society stands for are tested to the hilt.
Is Raj's life a reflection of a person who is deceitful? Is Sia living the life of truth? Will their relationship stand the test of time?
Sheesha is a look at the sincerity of such relationships... a sensitive love story... but one needs to remember that some mirrors lie...
Other than the lead Sheesha features Vivek Shaque and Eildth Macqueen. Sheesha is produced by Guddu Dhanoa, Sunil Saini and Deepak Sharma, the trio came together a year ago with the idea of making medium-budget films shot in a record span of time and are eagerly looking forward to the release of their first film. Sheesha is directed by Ashu Trikha, who earlier directed Deewanapan for Vashu Bhagnani.
