It’s been quite a while since Satish Kaushik has directed a movie since the super hit TERE NAAM. The talented director is now busy carving out his next feature titled SHAADI SE PEHLE, a romantic comedy that is being produced by Ashok Ghai under the banner of Mukta Arts Ltd. The film is written by the reputed Sanjay Chhel (of KHUBSOORAT fame). Satish Kaushik is an expert when it comes to dealing with love stories and scattering some good chunks of humor alongside. SHAADI SE PEHLE will again provide him the opportunity to display his expertise.
Two people destined to be together… or are they? Ashish Kapoor and Rani is a couple who are pretty much in love with each other. Off course every love story should have a twist. Ashish has a problem and what a problem it is. At the slightest level of tension, Ashish needs to pop a pill to unrattle his shaken nerves. This comes to the notice of Rani's family members who in turn try to separate them. And if that was not enough for Ashish, there is his friend Rohit who has the hots for Rani as well. Despite all these predicaments, Rani genuinely loves Ashish and sticks to him.
However, when Ashish goes to visit his doctor, he misunderstands the doctor's diagnosis of Hypertension to cancer. Ashish's world is turned upside down. And now before dying he decides to do the right thing. He wants the best for his love Rani, so he embarks on a plan to make Rani hate him so that she will not have to suffer the ordeal of his death.
So, he now starts flirting with the sexy model Sania (Mallika Sherawat). Seeing Sania in Ashish's arms, Rani is dejected and dumps him. Heart-broken Rani asks her family to choose her a suitable groom and as luck would have it, her family chooses Rohit. And as fate would have it Ashish realizes that he does not suffer from cancer at all. So now he has to break up Rani and Rohit's wedding.
Will Ashish succeed?
Will Ashish be able to convince Rani of his true feelings and clear up the mess?
Will Ashish be able to convince Rani's elder goon brother Anna (Suniel Shetty) who wants to get him killed?
Will he be able to get the sexy Sania out of his life?
The film has a formidable star-cast consisting of such talented actors that include Akshay Khanna, the ravishing Mallika Sherawat and the exuberant Ayesha Takia and also co-starring is Aftab Shivdasani, Suniel Shetty, Anupam Kher, Gulshan Grover and the comic genius Rajpal Yadav.
Sure with such a high-spirited cast and crew at the helm, SHAADI SE PEHLE is gonna be one helluva rollercoaster ride!
