This one is a love story with a difference. It has a loser in love, Riteish Deshmukh, trying desperately to woo a girl and when the one who he likes cutely informs him 'he is a good friend,' he knows where his love story is headed. Down and out, he lands up with a girl in his arms. She has fallen from outer space, literally! Jacqueline Fernandez has come from Venus in search of love. There, it appears, they make babies through computers and she does not know what a kiss is. Perfect for our loser lover boy, who though on earth, is facing the same dilemma as the girl from Venus. Never been kissed!
Girl from Venus wants to fall in love with the reigning super star on earth Desh (Ruslaan Mumtaz). It appears that Desh is the envy of Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra is 'just good friends with him' and Farah Khan, though besotted by SRK, is shooting with Desh.
So Rajesh (Riteish) gets Tara (Jacqueline) to his home and along with his 'high on testosterone' friend Kaushal (Vishal Malhotra) try and help Tara meet her love.
The plot is interesting and director Milap Zaveri earnestly tries to get some warmth across. The film does have you in splits in parts as it takes you to fantasyland. But then, like PRINCE, this too gets a little 'over-the-top'
The makers have targeted their audience and I'm sure the youngsters will relate to the love stories enacted on screen. Riteish is getting to be a very confident actor as he tries and makes complete sense even of a non-sensical scene. And this is no mean feat. Vishal entertains with his 'pent up frustration' while Jacqueline acts as she is supposed to... an Alien!
All in all, a passable fare.
