Seven friends meet in a bar for a farewell for one of their friends who is going to the US of A. While one among the three girls does not want to have any alcohol, there is another who wants to get sloshed. As the party progresses and they are the last ones at the bar, their attention goes to the television which reports spooky happenings at Hotel Grandiose, for long shut because of suicides and killings.
While a few in the group believe in spirits, there are others who do not. All the same, high on booze, and senseless stupidity (at this age they all want to defy whatever or whoever comes their way, including beliefs) these teens drive down to the hotel to see first hands for themselves what the fuss is all about.

While two in the group are not interested, peer pressure, makes them follow. In the end, when things turn gory, the one who suggested says to the other, who is now howling with fright, ''no one forced you''.
Curiosity killed the cat they say. Here, everyone is given a dose of their fair share of curiosity. They soon learn that a spirit by the name of Maya is the one behind the killings, as one after the other they are attacked. They also learn that this hotel was once a mental asylum and Maya was one of the patients who turned violent here.
To be fair to the makers, there is a fair share of fright moments but not enough to give it that Horror Story tag. By now, with so many horror films behind him, Vikram Bhatt should have moved a little closer to the Hollywood standard of horror movies. A horror movie should send a chill down your spine, long after you have walked out of the theatre.CHECK OUT: Vikram Bhatt - We couldn't afford big stars for HORROR STORY
The plus point here is the fact that new faces have been used and all characters live up to their roles of teenagers, each different from the other. They also act their age and are perfect when they display their senseless bravado which I mentioned earlier. These are factors that hold well for the film and make the plot believable.
If you are one of those who dig horror movies, this would not be a bad outing.
