Vashu Bhagnanai has come with yet another entertaining, comedy flick called RHTDM.
Though the script is not an original one, as we all know. It is a remake of Tamil blockbuster MINNALE.
The story is nothing different because the Bollywood viewers are so very used to love triangles and Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein is no exception but the presentation is upto the mark of what is expected by the filmi audience.
The story basically revolves around 3 characters. Madhav Shastri (Madhavan), Rajeev (Saif Ali Khan) and Reena (Diya Mirza).
Maddy (as he is called in the movie) and Rajeev are the students of the same college but as you know out of the two actors one has to be the goodie-goodie, pleasant and the other to be rowdy and bullying others and never serious about anything. No prizes for guessing that Rajeev is our Mr. goodie-goodie and maddy is our typical college-goer.
One fine day Maddy spots Reena and loses his heart to her at first sight.
But.... But.... But.... Reena is all set to engage a US guy whom she has never seen or met. So the only way Maddy can get close to her is by pretending to be the guy Reena is suppose to get engaged to.
Par Phir Se Kahani Mein Twist when Rajeev turns out be Reena’s would be fiancée and returns from US.
Any guesses for what happens in the next few reels. But as we know a movie can never go against the hero.
Madhavan as a debutant has performed brilliantly be it comedy, emotional scenes or romancing the heroine. And surely his sweet smile gonna win your heart. But Madhavan looks a little heavy and needs to pull down those excess kilos.
Diya Mriza (former Miss Asia Pacific) has done a good job. She looks very pretty but needs to work on her dialogue delivery, and be a little comfortable with Hindi.
Though Saif has a short role he has done pretty well.
Madhavan’s friend(in movie) Vrajesh Hirjee is good with comedy but he is too loud at times.
Director Gautam Menon has presented the movie well. Harris Jayraj (Music Director) has given some very melodious scores. But his music has a southern feel. Overall the movie is entertaining but may face competition from – Asoka and Indian in the immediate week.
