Rajiv S. Ruia's 101 minute horror is an overwhelmingly familiar spooky tale that is too scary to be novel. Having almost everything the papa's of Bollywood horrors - Ramsay brothers ordered, SAANSEIN : THE LAST BREATH is designed for the fans of PURANA MANDIR (read old school horror) else it's a VEERNA (read non exciting) for others.SAANSEIN-THE LAST BREATH MOVIE WALLPAPERS
Weaving all the known and familiar tapestry of jilted lover, punar janam, possessed woman, some skin show, tantra mantra and sex. SAANSEIN : THE LAST BREATH is the story of a crooner Shirin (Sonarika Bhadoria), who possess a dark secret and post midnight she goes missing.
A death of a guy who desired to be close to her dies under mysterious circumstances and enters (Rajniesh Duggal) who turns her lover and savior. Two more characters Tania (Neetha Shetty) - Shirin's friend and boss and the modern tantric (Hiten Tejwani) complete the cliches.
Too scary to add any novelty to create the eerie feelings, SAANSEIN : THE LAST BREATH 'posses' all the familiar sequences - a possessive ghost raping a mortal to the flickering bulbs and yes the indulgence gets confirmed when we see morning scenes in dark blue colour tones.
Though there are a couple of eerie moments but not enough to fulfill the appetite of horror fans everywhere.
The skin show is limited and the performances are not scary with Sonarika Bhadoria fitting the bill and Hiten Tejwani and Neetha Shetty chioing in with valuable support.
Technicalities are routine and so is the music.
SAANSEIN : THE LAST BREATH fails to bring any fresh air to Bollywood horror genres, it’s a strictly routine horror story.
