Munnabhai Meets Mahatma Gandhi, Yagna and Parineeta shoot together on one day.
1st May, Maharashtra Day was a very exciting and exhilarating day for Vinod Chopra Productions as they had three of their films on floors on the same day. After the runaway success if MUNNABHAI MBBS, Raju Hirani's much awaited sequel MUNNABHAI MEETS MAHATMA GANDHI started shooting. In addition to this, Vinod Chopra started the shooting for his film YAGNA and Pradeep Sarkar had a last day of shooting to finish on his classic PARINEETA.
"I am extremely excited and thrilled as three of my films are on floors shooting together today. It is an amazing feeling for any maker as we are shooting three extremely divergent films and will try and excel on all the three fronts. What better day to celebrate Maharashtra Day by shooting with Amitabh Bachchan for YAGNA. Besides this, today was the first day of shoot of MUNNABHAI M MG with Sanjay Dutt and also the last day of shooting PARINEETA with Saif Ali Khan proclaimed and excited Vinod Chopra".
PARINEETA set to release on June 10th, 2005, stars Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan, Raima Sen and introduces Vidya Balan who plays the main protagonist. Directed by Pradeep Sarkar, with Vinod Chopra co writing the screenplay with Pradeep Sarkar and produced under the banner of Vidhu Vinod Chopra Productions, the film's music is by Shantanu Moitra.
