Karan Johar's magnum opus KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNA has raked up endless debates. The film has been in the news since its inception. Being an ardent Shahrukh Khan fan, I obviously went for it and enjoyed the film to the hilt. However I heard disheartening and vile comments towards the end and was extremely pained. I strongly felt the need to put across my thoughts and feelings for the same.

The film delves into the grey, very unlike a Karan Johar flick. He has beautifully depicted various human emotions like love, lust, jealousy, righteousness, etc. The film revolves around human relationships and infidelity is just a part of it. Moreover the filmmaker is not trying to preach anything nor does the film advocates 'right' or 'wrong'. It's just a filmmaker, rather a human being's perspective. That's about it! So why are people judging this viewpoint as 'good' 'bad' or stating things like its morally not acceptable blah blah...

The point is, if one is not happy in a relationship there's no point dragging it only to please a certain stratum of the hypocritical society. After making repeated attempts, if two people don't get along its only fair and sensible to depart on a good note rather than living with bitterness and resentment with every passing day. That's precisely what Karan has conveyed through KANK, nevertheless not imposing his perspective on anyone.

It's just a bolder move, a bolder concept that has been touched upon and should be welcomed and appreciated. Once again! KANK is just a filmmakers perspective guys. Do not make a mountain out of a molehill and malign the beauty of KANK. 

Why are we so accustomed to happy endings? Why are we still not adaptable to changes?

This film is quite a diversion from the typical Karan Johar candyfloss romance and has shaped up beautifully. Strongly recommended is what I have to say!
