The makers of ONLY ROMANCE LOVE BY CHANCE, are not perturbed by the recent controversy surrounding their discovery, Sania, who makes a debut in the film. Sania, rechristened with the screen name, Khaleida, was until a few days ago better recognized as Farooque Abdullah's niece, who's making a promising Bollywood debut in the film. However a recent news report cited Omar Abdullah, Farooque Abdullah's son, flatly denying that he had any such cousin and the surname was a pure coincidence, with Omar clarifying that he had no links to Bollywood whatsoever.

According to director Raja Bundela, the news is unlikely to affect Sania's standing or her role in the film. "When she approached us for the role, we didn't choose her because of her relation to Farooque Abdullah. We have nothing to do with her political lineage. Even if she was related to George Bush, we would have still put her through a two-hour screen test that we did, which led us to confirm her for the role," Bundela reveals.

Bundela points out that the question would have cropped up if Sania was underage and needed a guardian's approval for taking a decision. "She's 22 years old and is perfectly capable of deciding what is good and bad for her. She has worked for three years in a corporate set-up prior to this and told us that she was keen on making a Bollywood debut. We found out that she had the persona and the talent to make it," he says.

ONLY ROMANCE... according to Bundela, is a semi-comedy revolving around people who want to indulge in romance but are averse to making any commitments in life. "People are too busy these days to enter into commitments, they only want to enter into relationships and get out of them, that's what the film tries to say," Bundela reveals.
