As per reports in a daily, Naseeruddin Shah has opted out of Milan Lutharia’s HATRICK. The reason? Naseer wishes to spend quality time with his son Imad who is presently convalescing after an unfortunate train mishap on November 23. Imad, a student of St Xavier’s college fell off a local train between Lower Parel and Mahalaxmi.
Naseer has been replaced by Danny Denzongpa now. Director Milan informed the daily that he understands Naseer’s concern as Imad’s rehabilitation would atleast take four months. He said he would have waited but since they intend to release the film before the Cricket World Cup in March 2007, he had no option but replace Naseer. Milan is unhappy about losing out on Naseer but he is definitely looking forward to working with him in future.
Meanwhile Danny was skeptical of stepping into Naseer’s shoes but the two sorted it out later. HATTRICK is a comedy film set against the backdrop of 2007 Cricket World Cup. Other actors Kunal Kapoor and Rimi Sen have just shot an item number ‘Jab chahe’.
