The world knows of director Vishal Bhardwaj’s obsession with the bard. His films MAQBOOL and OMKARA were based on Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth’ and ‘Othello’ respectively. He was also keen on adapting Julius Caesar but the buzz is that he has decided to shelve the film. He informed a daily that he is not making Julius Caesar any more since he wants to do something original and exciting. He said that he wanted to take a break from Shakespeare since he didn’t want to depend on readymade screenplays anymore. Nonetheless he would complete his Shakespeare trilogy but before that he’d make 2 other films. So up next are two ‘original’ films, one being a musical from Bhardwaj.
