Whose the man in the hot seat post KABUL EXPRESS?

Download Kabul Express WallpapersAround a week back in a candid interview Arshad Warsi had mentioned that he may continue playing second leads till the time a big production house a la Yash Raj Films would stand up and support him in a project that would see him play a solo lead.

He was honest enough to mention that presently he had to choose from whatever came his way and though even he would love to be the sole/first lead in a commercial film, he was happy playing second leads till the opportunity strikes.

Release of KABUL EXPRESS should change it all!

One factor that has stood out since the release of the film has been none other than Arshad Warsi. The man has got immense appreciation for his near flawless act and though John Abraham was being projected as a leading man all this while, the picture is clearer about who the man in the hot seat is after the release of the film.

Be it the length of the role or the importance to the script, Arshad Warsi has won it hands down for his act in KABUL EXPRESS and has yet another success in sight with his year end release.

2006 has been a good year for Arshad Warsi so far with GOLMAAL being his first success of the year followed by super success of LAGE RAHO MUNNABHAI. Though ANTHONY KAUN HAI was a below average runner, Arshad was appreciated for his act. Now after KABUL EXPRESS, filmmakers are certainly going to stand up and take notice of the actor and make sure that he gets what he truly deserves.

And why not? After all he is the man who was pretty convincing in a serious role of a cop in last year's release SEHER, which was India's answer to Kevin Costner's THE UNTOUCHABLES. Now if only the film would have been promoted and released rightly, situation would have been much different for Arshad!
