When the music of Madhur Bhandarkar's PAGE 3 was released, not many were hopeful about it since director Madhur Bhandarkar was seldom known for the music of his movies.

His earlier films like TRISHAKTI, CHANDNI BAR and SATTA hardly had any scope for music and a title like PAGE 3 didn't help much to arise any curiosity about the music.

But songs like HUZOOR E ALA, KITNE AJEEB and KUAN MAAN DOOB JAAYUNGI changed it all. Each of the songs went on to be popular and the man behind this was composer Shamir Tandon. A 'jodi' formed between Bhandarkar and Tandon and they returned with the score of CORPORATE. The music in CORPORATE may not have turned out to be as successful as PAGE 3 but one still remembers songs like O SIKANDAR and to an extent LAMHA LAMHA.

The director composer duo is now on a hat trick as they unite again for the score of TRAFFIC SIGNAL, which should be released soon. Just like in case of PAGE 3 and CORPORATE, Madhur Bhadarkar is very excited about the music of TRAFFIC SIGNAL and is confident about it going down well with the audience.

One waits to see how the music turns out eventually since a subject like TRAFFIC SIGNAL does warrant music of a kind that would be different from being conventional.

Starring Kunal Khemu, Neetu Chandra, Konkona Sen, Ranvir Shorey and Sudhir Mishra, TRAFFIC SIGNAL is slated for a February 2nd release.
