After making a stylish debut as a Casanova in 36 CHINA TOWN, model-turned-actor Upen Patel is leaving no stone unturned to ensure success. He rocked the floor with ‘Aashiqui’ that had him grooving to Himesh Reshammiya’s voice in 36 CHINA TOWN. Well there is yet another composition by Reshammiya that’ll outshine ‘Aashiqui’ also. Apparently 2.5 crore has been spent on a song from his upcoming flick SHAKALAKA BOOM BOOM. It has specially been choreographed by South African professional Tyrone Watkins. Those who’ve seen the rushes of Suneel Darshan’s SHAKALAKA BOOM BOOM say he has fantastic screen presence.

Upen is a great dancer! He had enrolled for Salsa and was soon asked to leave the dance class. Apparently his presence distracted girls and other people out there. “Upen was really quick at picking up the steps and his style was too advanced for the class,” the owner of the academy is quoted as saying in a daily. 

The hunk also walked away with the best male debut of the year at the GIFA. His heavy British accent is no deterrent it seems, nonetheless the man is working real hard to shed it. He also has Vipul Shah’s NAMASTE LONDON where he has been cast as a Pakistani dude craving to marry a British girl.
