More than 4 and half years back, young Arya Babbar made his debut with Raj Kanwar's AB KE BARAS.
Though there were rough edges in his performance, he showed potential as an actor. But a couple of flops [MUDDA, THODA TUM BADLO THODA HUM] and a few shelved projects later, his career seemed to have come to a standstill.
This was until none other than Mani Ratnam auditioned him and signed him for his magnum opus GURU. While Abhishek Bachchan and Madhavan are the two main leads in the film, he plays a third lead as Ash’s brother.
Meanwhile he has also shot for a Hollywood film called THE PARTITION [dir: Vic Sarin] where he enacts a negative role for the first time in his career. The film is set in 1947.
