The new title of Tanuja Chandra's ROCKING, ZINDAGI ROCKS, has been eliciting a good deal of curiosity about the film from various quarters according to Chandra. "It has given the film a new identity, which is one of the reasons the producers have been receiving several queries about the film from buyers as well as eager audiences," Tanuja reveals.

According to Tanuja, the title of the film was changed in order to connect with the non-urban crowds apart from keeping the true spirit of the film and its protagonist, Sushmita Sen. "The film tells the urban story of an impulsive, fun-loving and mad singer, who goes through emotional upheavals when she is thrown against a reticent stranger. I personally loved ROCKING as a niche title but it somehow did not connect to the non-urban audiences. ZINDAGGI ROCKS seemed to be a more apt and universal title," Tanuja smiles. The film is complete and is being lined up for an August release by its producers, BAG Films.

Meanwhile, Tanuja is happy that her hero, Shiney Ahuja, has become a star in his own right in the intervening period. "With a new actor the business is always skeptical but I had decided on casting Shiney the day I saw his performance in HAZAARON KHWAISHEIN AISI. I always knew that he was heading for big time before he got all the awards. Now that he's become a fairly sought after name, it will make a big difference to my film too," Tanuja reveals.

She is also all praise for Sushmita Sen and her immense potential as an actress. "She's an actress with a tremendous range and has done a fantastic job in the film. It was great to know her as a person, in the one month that I shot with her. The character she plays in the film of a spontaneous and fun-loving girl is how she is in real life, so much unlike her image," Tanuja avers.
