He may not fit into the mould of a conventional villain on screen but veteran actor-turned-director Naseeruddin Shah has rendered all the roles he has essayed on screen so far, positive or negative with the same remarkable conviction. Now he will be seen playing the role of a hard-core villain in Rakesh Roshan's KRRISH. Moreover unlike most set-ups, where he ended up feeling miserable and out of place, Naseer admits to having had a ball of a time shooting with the father-son duo of Rakesh and Hrithik Roshan. 'I really enjoyed being with the Roshans. They are both very nice and hardworking. Also, there was a comfort level that we shared, which made working with them a truly pleasurable experience,' Naseer reveals.
Like most other roles that he takes up with a certain amount of cynicism, he was slightly reluctant to take up this one too, not knowing how the role would ultimately turn out to be on screen. However Rakesh Roshan coaxed him into taking it up and the outcome was more than pleasing, as he admits. According to him, it is probably for the first time that he won't end up looking out of place in a regular Hindi film. 'I don't how, but the credit entirely goes to Rakesh Roshan. I think he's presented the character remarkably well on screen,' he says excitedly.
We do know for a fact that there was one other Hindi film in which Naseer had played the suave bad man to the hilt and did not look out of place either, too. That was many years ago in Rajiv Rai's MOHRA but as he says there is a lot to look to forward to in his role in KRRISH.
