Aftab Shivdasani is complacent and pretty happy with the way his career is shaping up. "They say success has been eluding me but I'm content with my work. I'm pretty much at peace with myself though a little more success is always welcome," he says effusively.

On the remaking fever gripping the industry he says, "To each his own. If someone wants to remake a film, that's his perspective. I am neither for nor against remakes. But I strongly feel that creativity shouldn't be restricted to remakes."

His association with director Vikram Bhatt goes back a long way. They've done films like KASOOR, AWARA PAAGAL DEEWANA, ANKAHEE etc in the past. He has high regards for Bhatt and also stars in 3 of his forthcoming films. "Vikram and I share a healthy relationship. We have mutual respect for each other. We also share a great personal and professional rapport. We are fond of each other and he has a large part in what I am today," enthuses Aftab.

He has Vikram Bhatt's SPEED, RED and LIFE MEIN KABHI KABHI lined up. Apart from that there's E Niwas's DE TAALI also. "SPEED is a hardcore action thriller. I play a negative character in the film. RED is a romantic thriller with Celina Jaitley and Amrita Arora. The genre is similar to KASOOR," he divulges

"DE TAALI is a romantic comedy, essentially about friendship. It's about 3 friends played by Ritesh Deshmukh, Ayesha Takia and me. I play this guy who wears his heart on his sleeves and is very gullible in love. It also stars Rimi Sen and has an interesting twist in the story," he adds.

Himesh Reshammiya has done the music for RED while Vishal-Shekhar have composed for DE TAALI. "The music of RED is melodious while DE TAALI has a youthful, bubbly and vibrant feel to it," he signs off.
