Sanjay Dutt put on hold his emotional, if impractical, decision to cancel all shootings until the court verdict in his TADA case when he shot for director Apoorva Lakhia's 'Shootout At Lokhandwala' last week.
'And, that too, only because he's shooting for his dearest pal Sanjay Gupta's production. It's got nothing to do with director Apoorva Lakhia,' a source told IANS.
'When Sanju realised that the combination shots with Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and 35 other members of the cast for which he was needed would be impossible to arrange again, he immediately agreed to drop his rule against shooting until the court verdict.
'Sanju is very emotional about his friends and would do anything for them. In fact, he'll be playing Sanjay Gupta in a film that Gupta will direct. It recreates the whole episode from Gupta's life when he had a near-fatal car accident,' revealed the source.
Sanjay Dutt, who is co-producer of 'Shootout At Lokhandwala', shot throughout on Nov 1 at Mumbai's Elphinston College in front of hundreds of cheering bystanders.
He was in good spirits and kept joking and laughing between shots. His rapport with the Big B was apparent all through. Both Amitabh and Abhishek dote on Sanjay and would never say no to him for anything.
