Nitin ShingalWe recently broke out the news of Nitin Shingal’s short film KINDLE. It is the director’s maiden foray into the world of cinema. KINDLE- a dark thriller is written by Nitin himself. Here’s more about the man behind it.

He was born in New Delhi, 1978. Though, he holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from a top business school in India, his first love has always been Film making. After completing his MBA in 2001, he gave up a lucrative corporate job and came to Mumbai to start his career with Vinod Chopra Films. His first film as an assistant director was Rajkumar Hirani’s MUNNABHAI MBBS. He then assisted Pradeep Sarkar in direction on PARINEETA. In 2006, he joined Yash Raj Films and assisted Kunal Kohli on FANAA.

Nitin is grateful to Yash Raj Films for supporting him. The entire post -production was done in Yash Raj Studios, Adlabs and Prime Focus. Infact he also had a screening at Yashraj studios and everyone liked the film. “I specially want to thank Yash Raj Films for supporting and encouraging me. Since childhood I nurtured a dream to be a filmmaker. During my graduation and even post graduation I knew that I belonged somewhere else.  When I was in my MBA I kept on writing to a lot of filmmakers in Mumbai. Luckily Mr. Vidhu Vinod Chopra responded to my mail and after a couple of meetings with him in person he gave me a go ahead to join him. During this time I had almost finished my MBA and was already offered a job with a soft drink brand with a heavy salary. But I knew where I had to go, so after completion of my degree I came to Mumbai and joined him in May 2001,” reminisces Nitin.

Another Bollywood aspirant…Nitin Shingal raring to go!
