Subhash Ghai will interact with potential students across 14 cities in India about his dream project - Whistling Woods International, Asia's largest Film, Television, Animation and Media Arts Institute, through national video conferencing organized in association with Reliance Webworld. The cities include Delhi, Chandigarh, Kanpur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Pune, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Allahabad, Meerut, Bangalore, Jamshedpur, and Indore. Along-with Subhash Ghai, Kurt Inderbitzin (Dean WWI), Ashish Kulkarni (Head of Department, Animation) and Anjum Rajabali (Head of Department, Scriptwriting) will also be present to reply to any queries that the students may have.
Speaking on this unique way of interacting with his potential students, Subhash Ghai said, "It is not physically possible for me to travel across India and answer various queries on careers in the media and entertainment segment and therefore we decided on this unique way to interact with the students through a video conferencing session. Technology enables me to save a lot of travel time and also gives the feeling of a one on one with the person even though they are not in the same room.
He further added, "The first batch at the institute is progressing very well and we have been receiving several queries from all over India. It is my duty as a filmmaker and now an educationalist to answer all these queries. Students can ask me anything about education in the media and entertainment industries".
Based in Film City (Goregaon, Mumbai) and promoted by Mukta Arts Ltd and Filmcity Mumbai, Whistling Woods International provides world-class training across all technical and creative aspects of filmmaking, television and animation in its first phase with regular two years intensive hands on training program. Students will have International facilities to meet every need. WWI will also have on-campus housing, encouraging students to enroll from all over the world while giving students access to the International caliber infrastructure 24-hours a day.
The national video conferencing will take place on 10th of October (Tuesday).
