This definitely is no case of coincidence… Abhay Deol always ends up signing films with new directors. As per reports in a daily, he has signed his 6th film with a debutant director. The film is titled MANORAMA SIX FEET UNDER and has Raima Sen along with another heroine.

Interestingly all his films right from his debut film SOCHA NA THA have been directed by debutants. So whether its AHISTA AHISTA or his forthcoming films MERIDIAN, HONEYMOON TRAVELS PVT LTD, EK CHAALIS KI LAST LOCAL or this one, they all happen to be new directors.

He informed the daily that it's not a conscious attempt. He is generally offered films by newcomers. He thinks since they are new they come up with fresh ideas and creative inputs.

MANORAMA SIX FEET UNDER will go on floors in December and will be extensively shot in Rajasthan.

Abhay is paired opposite Minissha Lamba and Neha Dhupia in HONEYMOON TRAVELS PVT LTD and EK CHAALIS KI LAST LOCAL respectively.
