The much awaited musical block-buster JAAN-E-MANN as emerged as the biggest release for the Diwali/Eid with the trade buzz in its favour and also the extravagant trailer and the song 'Humko Maloom Hain' unleashed by the enterprising producer Sajid Nadiadwala.
The romantic musical love story based in New York is showcased like a Broadway musical with the story told in an unusual manner. The canvas is huge and has an international feel to it.
Sajid will be unleashing the 2nd song on air on Sept 7th, which again will showcase another winning track from the film.
Sources who have seen a sneak peek of the music and song maintains that this is Anu Malik at his very best and also that the music is so good that it is giving stress to Anu Malik's other work UMRAO JAAN. Anu Malik raises the bar in JAAN-E-MANN.
"I always give Sajid the very best. And having met Shirish during MAIN HOON NA, what I particularly liked about him is that he has his situations clearly spelt out in his mind and knows exactly what he wants. He has motivated me to do great work. In JAAN-E-MANN you will find ballads as well as a full on Item number. But one of the favorite has to be the sad song penned by Gulzaar Saab," says Anu Malik.
Sources also say that the film is shot like a Hollywood musical and it has to be Farah Khan's best-choreographed work to date. Adds the source that it could be that Farah has reserved the best for JAAN-E-MANN since it is her husband debut film.
Trade-wallahs who have also backed the film to the hilt say that it looks like a Karan Johar, Yash Raj product.
The enterprising producer, Sajid laughs off this and says, "Truly, it's a big compliment. But lets just say it's a 'Nadiadwala Grandsons' production. I am not here to compete or be compared to anyone. JAAN-E-MANN's music gels quite well with the musical genre of the film. Anu Malik has delivered a gem. JAAN-E-MANN has been made from the heart. Shirish, Me and the actors have put our heart and soul into it and I'm glad people love the look of the film."
Looks like 'Mr. Block-buster' Sajid has hit the right track for JAAN-E-MANN!
