Busy days ahead for Eros

Eros International have had a memorable year. They started off by releasing NAMASTEY LONDON, bang in the middle of the World Cup Cricket. Though there were doomsday prophecies for the movie, the Akshay-Katrina starrer went on to become a global hit, netting more than 37 crores from India and grossing nearly 3 million dollars from the US and UK. But the best was yet to come for them! Their Govinda, Salman, Lara and Katrina starrer, PARTNER, turned out to be a blockbuster hit, globally. While it is the biggest earner of 2007 (so far), having gone well past 50 crores in India, it has grossed more than 2.5 million dollars from the US and UK.
We are now in the eighth month of the year (August), which is another busy month for them. Next week will see their distribution wing (Eros Multimedia Pvt. Ltd.), releasing the Rakhi Sawant, Paresh Rawal and Anupam Kher starrer, BUDDHA MAR GAYA. And in the very next week, that is August 24, they are expected to continue their winning streak with the Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Vidya Balan starrer, HEYY BABYY.
