Horse Shoe Pictures’, RED directed by Vikram Bhatt starring Aftab Shivdasani, Celina Jaitley, Amrita Arora and Sushant Singh in the lead role, is set to hit theatres on 23rd February 2007. The movie is a romantic thriller with a suspense element.

RED, an intense love story is set in an urban metropolis of India and talks about obsessive love. It’s a hard-hitting tragic love story of an individual who risks his life to protect his love. Directed by Vikram Bhatt, the maestro of the film noir with a stunning Euro-thriller style narrative.

Aftab plays ‘Neel Oberoi’ a guy who has survived a near death experience. Aftab is sporting a new hot and contemporary semblance embossed by stylist Falguni Thakore in the movie. He’ll be seen in a stylized look with short crop hairdo, a leaner and macho physique. While Celina plays ‘Anahita’, a young gorgeous, sensuous yet lonely widow. Anahita will be a career-defining role with a very intense performance for Celina. Amrita Arora’s character ‘Ria’ has gray shades. Amrita’s looks have been worked by Mallika and Vikram Bhatt.

Speaking about his movie, Director Vikram Bhatt says,” RED is a mature love story. It’s a dark romantic thriller, which showcases the complex relationships of the individuals who find themselves passionately in love. It’s a tragic love story with an intense brooding quality kind of feel. The film has also been visually designed to achieve a stunning Euro-noir narrative. It was wonderful to work with such talented performers as they all have brought great intensity to their characters.”

Red is produced by Sunil Chainani and Sameer Shrivastava. The music is given by Himesh Reshammiya and lyrics are by Sameer. The script of the movie is written by Vikram, Manoj Tyagi and Girish Dhamija. Cinematography is by Pravin Bhatt. Himesh Reshammiya, Jayesh Gandhi, Harshdeep Kaur and Akriti Kakkar has contributed their vocals for the movie.
