Will RISK manage to get a good chain of theatres?

View Risk Movie StillsIn the current economics associated with films, it's just not good enough to make a good film. What is also absolutely necessary is good promotion, well thought about marketing strategy and last but not the least, getting a good chain of theatres for the film's release.

Vishram Sawan't upcoming film RISK has been in news for more than a couple of months now. Appearing to be an interesting Vinod Khanna v/s Randeep Hooda face/off in this clash of underworld and police force, RISK does seem promising but unfortunately has been getting postponed practically every week.

Though the film moving from December to January this year has been a positive move since it gave it some more time to consolidate on its promotion, what does sound alarming is its new release date.

Slated to arrive on January 19th, RISK is practically sandwiched between GURU and SALAAM-E-ISHQ which arrive on January 12 and January 25 respectively. With both the biggies sure to capture the best chain of theatres for an extensive release of their films, it leaves little space for RISK to capture the market.

One only hopes that the makers of RISK have managed to strike a good deal with select chain of theatres with a promise of an extended stay at the box office despite great competition.

Other than Vinod Khanna and Randeep Hooda, RISK stars Tanushree Dutta as the leading lady along with Yashpal Sharma, Seema Biswas, Makrand Deshpande and Zakir Hussain.
