Abhishek Bachchan cannot stop thanking God and Mani Ratnam, in that order, for Guru. Clearly, the actor is over-the-top with the rave reviews the movie has received, particularly his performance. “I don’t think I’ll get a film like this, ever. Such films come once in a lifetime. I mean I have been just eight years in the industry and I feel truly blessed. I remember my dad telling me when he signed Black, ‘It took me 25 years to get a film like this’,” he says. Commenting on the work atmosphere with Mani, Abhishek says, “He is very open to ideas. He made everyone feel comfortable on the sets taking opinions and making everyone feel one with the film. A director of Mani’s class need not have to do that.”
