Most actors sign on a movie knowing fully well what the script is, who the other lead actors are and what the movie is all about. Before the movie releases, they are all gung-ho, singing the same tune, saying, “It’s a fantastic script, the role is different and the music is something I have not heard in a long time.” You will also hear these actors saying, “The director is very well-known and it’s an honour to be working with him.” But what happens once the film releases and bombs badly at the box office. They run for cover! They moan about how they should not have done the film. Whatever happened to all the pre-release talk of the movie being zara hatke and the director being a genius!!? Of course, the money has been paid and the actors have nothing to complain about. But yet, they do. Which is why, the intelligent actors play it safe taking up only scripts that interest them. “At least that way your films will be remembered,” they say
