GURU may not have taken a thunderous beginning at the box office in its opening weekend but with the week's progress, its collections remained stable to reach the crescendo as the film moved into its second week.
With word of mouth catching up like wild fire and people venturing into theaters to catch the film second time around, the film has entered the safe zone at the end of week one.
Collections for the film are heartwarming, especially metros and the cities [from where the bulk of the moolah was anyways expected] and the way the film has held up in the second weekend, the film looks all set to be a good success at the box office.
As per the latest reports, lack of competition from RISK and some great word of mouth have resulted in Abhishek Bachchan's performance as a lead role being hailed as yet another landmark performance coming from the Bachchan 'khandaan'.
With the second week looking equally promising, it is quite apparent that Mani Ratnam has finally a Hindi success to his name after the debacle of DIL SE and not so enthusiastic response to YUVA.
