No, we are not even getting into how both SALAAM-E-ISHQ and HONEYMOON TRAVELS PVT. LTD. have just one thing being common, i.e. a story about 6 couples, but with different script and treatment!

While both the films release with exactly a gap of one month between them [SEI comes on 25th January while HTPL is gearing up for a February 23 release], the fact remains that both of them look highly interesting and are destined to be comfortable box office earners.

But are you aware about what indeed differentiates the two? It is their RUNNING LENGTH.

Believe it or not but SEI duration is near about double than that of HTPL. While SEI has a running length of 210 minutes [3 hours 30 minutes], HTPL is shorter in length with a span of just 120 minutes [2 hours].

Moreover, as per Nikhil Advani, he would be closely monitoring the feedback SEI registers in its first week. If it manages to keep viewer's attention in spite of this length, he won't shy away from increasing the film's length by 30 minutes [he already has the longer ready-to-beam version ready] and present it as a 4 hour film in its second week.

The last time one remembers watching long films were KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNA [directed by Nikhil's mentor Karan Johar] and J P Dutta's LOC. Now it has to be seen how audience receive a three and a half hours long SEI at the box office!
