It may be a day of past when Riteish Deshmukh was known only for his comic acts. That's because in 2007, he would be seen in films belonging to multiple genres ranging from action, romance, fantasy and of course comedy!

His first release of the year would be CASH which is an out and out action thriller by Anubhav Sinha. The film also stars Ajay Devgan, Zayed Khan and Sunil Shetty along with Shamita Shetty, Esha Deol and Dia Mirza.

He would also be seen in E Niwas' DE TAALI which is a light hearted entertainer and boasts of a young starcast comprising of Riteish along with Aftab Shivdasani, Ayesha Takia and Rimi Sen. Another such film for which the shooting is currently on is HEY BABY which is directed by Sajid Khan. The film has Ritesh sharing frames with Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan and Vidya Balan.

Inder Kumar would be expecting good times to continue for Sanjay Dutt so that the shooting of DHAMAAL gets over soon. A comedy, it stars Dutt along with Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Aftab Shivdasani, Tusshar Kapoor, Sohail Khan and Aashish Chaudhary.

Last but not the least, Riteish also gets to relive a fantasy tale as he enacts the title role of Aladin in Sujoy Ghosh's ALADIN AND THE MYSTERY OF THE LAMP. To be launched soon, the film has Big B as the genie with Sanjay Dutt in yet another dynamic appearance.

With such a vast repertoire of films with different subjects, Riteish should finally be able to silence his detractors who perceive him to be an actor who can excel only in comic acts!
