Shilpa's HANUMAN - Fusion of myth and contemporary times

 If grapevine is to be believed, Shilpa Shetty's upcoming Hollywood project HANUMAN isn't just another mythological film in the offering. In fact it takes the movie making to a level up as it is touted to be a unique cinematic experience, what with the script being designed as a fusion of myth and contemporary times.
Simply translated, today's version of HANUMAN will feature the monkey God but along with that there would also be modern day elements incorporated in the film.
HANUMAN has been making news ever since film maker Uru Patel announced this much ambitious mega venture. While 1996 Gladrags Supermodel Aseem Merchant (last seen as a main villain in THE TRAIN) has already been confirmed for the role of Laxman, there is a strong buzz making the rounds that Hollywood hunk Keanu Reeves would play Ram opposite Shilpa (who plays Sita).
As per Dale Bhagwagar, Shilpa's publicist, 'The movie is being directed by Luis Mandoki. It is aimed at an Asian audience especially at countries other than India where the Monkey God is popular. The title role is still being discussed.'
