METRO looks stunning; a sure-shot winner

Download Metro WallpapersWatch out for METRO, now rechristened LIFE IN A METRO.

The delay in the film's release which was originally slated to come in February but now may only be seen in May, has only worked in the film's favor. First and foremost, the  Shilpa Shetty angle is being considered a good USP for the film. Secondly, and most importantly, the delay is giving the film some crucial weeks to give it a solid platform for its publicity.

A right step in this direction has already been taken with the latest theatrical promo of MERTO that has been beamed along with the screening of HAT TRICK. Highly impressive and one of the best cut full length theatrical promos that have been seen in recent times, the one for METRO gives a very good idea of what the film is all about.

What is especially wonderful about the promo is that it establishes the characters in a little time and gives a very fair idea about what they are and what are their
ambitions and desires.

The first impression about the film is that it is surely going to have some of the best performances of their careers, be it Shilpa Shetty, Konkana Sen Sharma,
Kangana, Kay Kay Menon, Irrfan Khan or Sharman Joshi. Also METRO comes across as a sensitive film that is as humane as it gets.

There is a little surprise in store too with composer Pritam making a split second appearance as a member of the much publicized rock band which is an integral part of the film. Also the two songs that run in the background give just the right indications that Pritam and Anurag Basu have yet another hit in hand after GANGSTER.

A UTV film, METRO would be their third release after HAT TRICK and THE NAMESAKE, which releases next week.
