And that is evident from our Bollywood industry. Filmmakers these days are loving to capitalize on the emotional appeal of the old plots/songs and actors are equally pushing the envelop in a bid to serve up old wine in new and fancy bottles.
Whether the age-old popular song 'Khaike Paan Benaras Wala...' or 'Yeh mera dil...' of DON or for that matter 'mehbooba mehbooba' of SHOLAY; filmmakers deem remakes as one of the successful formula to attract audience. And the fact of the matter remains that originals or remakes both have been enjoyed by the public and topped the charts.
Now the makers of CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA starring Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone in the leads are ready to espouse the same Bollywood formula by roping in two most successful songs of the 70's. One of them being 'Bambai se aaya mera dost...' from AAP KI KHATIR and other one from CARAVAN, the famous Helen number 'Piya tu ab toh aaja...'
Well, all you guys have one more reason to stay tuned for the bygone Tadka.
