Kunal's action flick HIJACK stuns

If one thought that high-adrenalin films like DUS, DHOOM 2 and RACE were mere flash in the pans then that's far from true. That's because if one looks at the line up of films arriving in coming few months, the action time seems to have just begin.
And the first name which comes in this list if HIJACK.
Directed by ad man Kunal Shivdasani who has been behind more than 500 commercials in the past, HIJACK stars the 'unusual suspect' Shiney Ahuja in the lead role who foils a hijack attempt by a bunch of terrorists.
The first teaser of the film is out and the instant reaction one has on seeing the slick few seconds is that Kunal certainly knows his job.
Says Kunal, "I always wanted to make a film which does match Hollywood standards. The point was, if they can make it why can't we. I am sure HIJACK won't let down the audience for whom Hollywood flicks is just a DVD library away. After watching HIJACK, they would definitely take the action quotient in Bollywood films more seriously."
Well, one has to believe Kunal when he says that. After all the teaser of HIJACK does look slick and is every bit influenced by the kind of films belonging to the same genre which have been made in Hollywood in the past.
Slated to arrive in June, HIJACK stars Esha Deol and KK Raina in principal roles along with Mona Ambegaonkar and Kaveri Jha. With action by Allan Amin, the film is presented by Eros Entertainment.
