Ram Gopal Varma can never be seen in a sad mood. That's the beauty of the maverick film maker's personality that his lows have never broken his sense of humor while his highs have never made him fall short of jokes.

If 2007 saw him being in the eye of the storm after the failure of RAM GOPAL VARMA KI AAG, he can see history repeating itself, though with different players, as TASHAN is trying to stand tall amidst all the adversities. Though Ram Gopal Varma is in no mood to sound critical about the way TASHAN has been received by the audience, what with SARKAR RAJ keeping him completely occupied, he admits that he is aware about the joke going round the town.

'Yes, I have been told that people are calling TASHAN as 'Aditya Chopra Ki Aag'', laughs Ramu, 'I don't know whether I should be laughing at the joke or feel miserable around my film being treated as a benchmark. I think I am going to opt for the former since I think that's the best way to accept your failures and move on.'

Prod him further and he admits that he understands the emotion which goes around in a situation like this. 'I have gone through such times last year and know how it feels to see your work being thrashed like this. Anyways, I have always laughed along in situations like these. At the end of the day I have always maintained that I like entertaining people through my films. Now whether it is inside the cinema halls or outside is a different matter', says Ramu cheekily.

Remind him that the climax of TASHAN is pretty much similar in feel of RAM GOPAL VARMA KI AAG, what with a similar 70s den style setting and the heroes taking the villain hands on in a 'dhishum dhishum' mode, he merely exclaims - 'I See'. Instead he opts to focus the conversation towards his SARKAR RAJ, which is looking at a 6th June release.

Well, if you are in mood to get him any more critical about TASHAN, he refuses to bite the bait. Point taken Ramu!
