One of the finest actresses of Bollywood Kajol began her career at a tender age of 17. She left her education midway to pursue her career in Bollywood.
Right from the first film BEKHUDI she proved her acting mettle. And this paved her way into big production houses. With back-to-back hits like BAAZIGAR, YEH DILLAGI, KARAN ARJUN, DILWALE DULHANIYA LE JAAYENGE, etc... in her kitty there was no looking back for her and with DDLJ's super success she acquired the numero uno status in B-town. And this was not the end, her success story kept on continuing till 2001's most successful film KABHI KHUSHI KABHI GHAM. After that she took a long sabbatical and made a successful comeback with Aamir Khan in 2006 with Kunal Kohli's highly acclaimed FANAA. Then she again took a gap of a year or so to help his hubby Ajay Devgan in his directorial debut U ME AUR HUM which released just few months back with moderate performance. And now the toughest contender of Bollywood is gearing up for her next release opposite King Khan in Karan Johar's MY NAME IS KHAN, the most eagerly awaited movie.
People loved her in all the characters she played whether the negative character in GUPT or the fighting spirit in DUSHMAN, she delivered it with much ease and elan. She is counted as one of those rare actresses who can solely lure the audience to cinema halls. Many aspiring actress today consider her as their true inspiring icon.
