It is going to be a rare double bill for Paresh Rawal in a fortnight. That's because on 22nd August, two of his films would get released - MAAN GAYE MUGHALL-E-AZAM and MUMBAI MERI JAAN.

Interestingly, the two films are as different from each other as chalk and cheese and feature Paresh Rawal in two diametrically opposite roles. While in MAAN GAYE MUGHALL-E-AZAM he plays the role of a theater artist, in MUMBAI MERI JAAN he enacts the part of a 'hawaldar'.

Recently Paresh Rawal was seen as the central protagonist in MERE BAAP PEHLE AAP. Though the film turned out to be a mild success, it was hardly the kind which would be remembered by Paresh Rawal fans and followers for years to come.

However, one looks forward to MAAN GAYE MUGHALL-E-AZAM and MUMBAI MERI JAAN since he gets to sink his teeth into comedy and drama respectively.
Playing Mallika's posessive husband who is excessively obsessed about his acting as well, Paresh Rawal is said to be the soul of MAAN GAYE MUGHALL-E-AZAM in the role of Uday Shankar Mazumdar.

On the other hand, in MUMBAI MERI JAAN, he plays an aging hawaldar who finds himself in the middle of serial blasts that happened on Mumbai trains. As Tukaram Patil, a seasoned cop due for retirement in a week, he plays the role of a man who has never fired a single round in his career and uses humor to battle his personal failures.

Directed by Nishikant Kamat, the film is special since apart from Paresh Rawal, it also brings together a bunch of talented actors like Irrfan Khan, Madhavan and Kay Kay Menon.

2008 is all set to be an eventful year for Paresh Rawal since he would also be seen in variety of roles in films like FIRAAQ, MAHARATHI and OYE LUCKY LUCKY OYE!
