Pankaj Udhas returns - The Mallika effect?

Trust projects featuring Mallika Sherawat to make men do things they haven't done for a long time!
Ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas is hardly known for making an appearance for a film. Content with his super success on the album circuit (and a few cases where he has rendered a track or two for a film), he has made only a few exceptions to the rule when it comes to facing the camera for the film. And there too, he has been mainly seen as a performer.
While 'Chiththi Aayi Hai' from NAAM is the first instance which comes to mind, his appearance in 'Jeeye To Jeeye Kaise' [SAAJAN] and 'Dil Aashna Hai' [DIL ASHNA HAI] is much remembered as well. And then of course there are some lesser popular appearances in films like GOLA BAROOD, YEH DILLAGI and SHARE BAZAAR as well.
Now after more than a decade, he has been associated with a Bollywood project in not just the capacity of a singer but also as a performer. He does that for the film MAAN GAYE MUGHALL-E-AZAM where Mallika Sherawat is the central protagonist and has three men for company - Rahul Bose, Paresh Rawal and Kay Kay Menon. The number in question is 'Ek To Sharab Kum'.
Though Pankaj Udhas would not really be seen on the big screen for MGMEA, he is still a part of the promotional music video of 'Ek To Sharab Kum'. While in the film it is Kay Kay Menon (who plays the role of a ghazal singer) on whom the song is picturised, the video also features Pankaj Udhas quite prominently.
No wonder, it turns out to be yet another feather in the cap for a project featuring Mallika Sherawat in the lead.
