Paresh Rawal is one of those actors who believe in improvisation. His recent film MUMBAI MERI JAAN is already talk of the town and Paresh is getting rave review for his character of a Maharastrian Constable Tukaram Patil. Very few people know that this acclaimed actor has tremendous amount of love and respect for Marathi language and Theater. It's his love for this language made him bring the essence of his character to the silver screen so effortlessly. Indecently the majority unit of MUMBAI MERI JAAN was Maharashtrian including the director and his co-star Vijay Mourya. Paresh is as known for his dedication he adopted the similar body language, dialect, appearance like a Marathi Manoos.

MUMBAI MERI JAAN explores the impact of this devastating incident on the lives of the people of Mumbai. From a feisty reporter to a patriotic corporate man; from a retiring policeman to a rookie cop; from an unemployed youth to a coffee-vendor: MUMBAI MERI JAAN follows the lives of people from all strata of Mumbai's bustling society as they tackle the after-effects of a fatal incident that brings out the best and sometimes worst in them. It's a story of ordinary people set in one extraordinary circumstance - that one event on the evening of July 11, 2006 - which forms the crux of MUMBAI MERI JAAN.

MUMBAI MERI JAAN is produced under the banner of UTV Motion Pictures & produced by Ronnie Screwvala.
