"C KKOMPANY is a film about underdogs and Tusshar plays one such underdog in my film", declares Sachin Yardi who would be making his debut as a director this weekend.
"Basically the film is supposed to showcase regular characters who would be as brave or as 'darpok' as you or me. This is how Tusshar, Anupam Kher and Rajpal are in C KKOMPANY. They play a trio which can be identified with since they could be found anywhere around us in our neighborhood", informs Sachin who has written National Award winning TRAFFIC SIGNAL and also donned a different hat while writing sex-comedy KYA KOOL HAIN HUM.
Talking about his choice of Tusshar Kapoor in the lead role, Sachin divulges, "So far in majority of his movies, Tusshar has been positioned as a simpleton who is either a romantic hero or a simpleton. He has played the sort of roles where he can be comfortably taken for a ride and who is somewhat clueless about worldly affairs. However, in C KKOMPANY he is different. He is one regular guy who operates in gray areas. He is neither dumb nor smart. He is someone who is just very normal and is easily identifiable."
How about Tusshar's role behind the camera?
"Since this is his home production, Tusshar has obviously gone an extra mile to ensure that the project is well managed throughout. Ekta Kapoor hasn't been involved with the project and Tusshar took it upon him to ensure that there were no blemishes in the making of C KKOMPANY", says Sachin.
Starring Raima Sen as the only female attraction in this male dominated film, C KKOMPANY releases this Friday along with three other films - CHAMKU, ROCK ON and most likely MUKHBIIR.
