Abhay Deol has done it again. His OYE LUCKY LUCKY OYE has fetched fabulous reviews all over and now he finds himself firmly placed as an actor to approach when it comes to middle–of–the–road cinema. Coming with the right charm and some excellent acting skills to boast of, Abhay Deol has easily come up with his career best performance in this Dibakar Banerjee directed film.

Even though the film may have opened slow due to the recent terror attack in Mumbai that has left the entire nation scarred, he is happy with the kind of response OYE LUCKY LUCKY OYE is fetching amongst those who have already caught the movie at theaters. Over to Abhay as Joginder Tuteja catches up with to check on the reactions that the film is fetching and how confident is he about OLLO finally hitting the bull's eye.

Yet again, good things are being heard and written about you and the film after all the pre–release screenings and the eventual release. How have the reactions been?

Well, of course the buzz has been good and audience has been laughing and enjoying themselves. This way it is all super positive. I am also gathering feedback from those friends who are closest to me and always pretty honest in their view about me and my films.

Paresh Rawal is always a force to reckon with. Regardless of the genre of the film he is working in, he always manages to stand out amidst the crowd. Doesn't that scare you?

No, it doesn't. In any case, you anyways would end up performing if you have a seasoned actor like Paresh in front of you. Also, he is in that stage of his career where he is very secure. He is a complete gentleman and has proved over the years the kind of actor he is. He is not insecure but also the fact is that neither am I.

The film has been impacted due to Mumbai terror attack. Are you expecting UTV to keep the momentum on for the film and work with exhibitors to allow OYE LUCKY LUCKY OYE a fair run at the box office for weeks to come.

It's a good enough relief that UTV is advertising the film well and giving it a right release. In some ways I am also secure that UTV is behind the project and with the kind of golden run that they have enjoyed in 2008, I just hope that OLLO only adds on their long list of successful films. They have firmly established themselves over the years and come with good enough clout to ensure that exhibitors continue to screen the film for long.

Meanwhile, what happens to your delayed 'Meridian' [co–starring Arjun Rampal, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Raima Sen]? It has been in the making for long so why the delay?

The basic shooting has been complete for quite some time now and the film is in its post production. [Smiles] Frankly, beyond that I have absolutely no clue around what's happening on the film's release.
